Procurement and Project Management

How to align Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to project management best practices for the best (possible) outcomes

city of spokaneEver find that a RFP for a product or service requirement within a project causes undue risk (at best) or derailment (at worst)? This session will dive into lessons learned to help make procurement one of your project’s strongest, instead of weakest, components.   You won’t want to miss this talk with Ariane’s 20 years’ experience in planning and research, where she will talk about their new RFP approach and strategy.

Ariane’s presentation will highlight how procurement fits (correctly) into a project plan and what do when reality just does not follow proper protocol.procuement

  • If a project is “created” around an RFP instead of business case
  • Timelines set around procurement and not a project management plan
  • Setting executive leadership, including project sponsors, expectations for realistic procurement goals that enhance the overall success of a project
  • Best Value procurement method that reduced in the load on RFP selection committees
  • Using metrics related to procurement decisions during and after project closure/transition

Why not register right now?!?  In fact, this is a great opportunity to bring a co-worker so they can experience our dinner meeting and earn PDU's too. We love when you bring guests to our events!
