Your PMIINW Board
Why we're here
Our goal is to promote the extraordinary talent of project management minded professionals in the Inland Northwest by showcasing the versatility and merit of our industry. Our chapter connects members with modern, innovative and agile techniques for professional and personal growth inside a thought-provoking network.
Ashton is passionate about coaching and mentoring; which is where her operational expertise meets project management. She obtained her CAPM in 2013 and her PMP in 2015. She and her husband are also local business owners and have a four-year-old daughter and a six-year-old boy. Ashton enjoys hiking, boating, and all outdoor recreational activities as well as knitting and painting.
Outside of her professional career she enjoys running and hiking. Kari visits her family on the west coast 4-5 times a year and spends a lot of time with her friends here in Spokane. Kari jokes she works so hard so her furry family member, Mya the cat, can have nice things.
Allisha is passionate about community, education, mentorship, and continued growth. Being a member of the board and participating in operations allows her to help others to grow and be all that they strive to be.
Outside of her career and volunteer obligations, she spends her time being in the great outdoors of north Idaho hiking, biking, and most importantly running. She enjoys these activities and others with her husband and two daughters.
She loves to spend time at her lake place, visit the oregon coast, read mystery novels, and travel for her daughter's competitive gymnastics team.
Originally from San Diego, Tim and his wife Shannon moved to Spokane so Tim could attend Gonzaga's Masters of Communications and Leadership Program. They instantly fell in love with the small-town camaraderie and knew Spokane would be the place to set roots in preparation for a family. Tim graduated in less than 2 years while representing all graduate students as the Graduate Student Association President.
After working in recruitment and community-building roles with Eastern Washington University and Community Colleges of Spokane, Tim found his passion for being apart of projects that support the Inland Northwest. He served as Chair of the T24 Circuit for Spokane County United Way, leading an annual college recruitment fair that brings over 40 colleges and trades to Spokane for a week-long circuit.
As VP of Programs-Interim, Tim intends to build a team that recruits and supports Speakers for the chapter dinner meetings and pre-dinner training events. He wants to create awareness of the benefits of being apart of PMI, along with highlighting the values of earning a PMP.
Tim earned his PMP in March of this year, achieving an Above Target in each of the categories. He wants to use his PMP to support education, non-profit, and other programs that might not be able to hire a project manager full-time.
When not working, you'll find Tim riding bikes with his daughter, Stella, walking his dog Elwood around Manito Park, and helping Shannon with the gardening around the house.
Shawna holds an MBA (finance concentration) from Washington State University where she took significant coursework related to IT strategy and management. She was honored to be admitted into Leadership Spokane for the 2020 - 2021 program year.
In her free time, Shawna wrangles two beagles, takes art classes, plays truly awful electric guitar, travels (when there isn't a pandemic), and spends quality time with her family.
