Marci Gannon - Chapter President
Marci Gannon, PfMP, PMP, PMI-ACP, is the current president of the Inland Northwest Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI-INW) and is the Director – Project Management at STCU. Ms. Gannon has a Master of Arts, Organizational Leadership, Gonzaga University and more than 10 years of progressively more responsible experience delivering mission critical projects and programs. All of these endeavors have enhanced her ability to understand people and teams, maintain professional and technical knowledge and thrive on new challenges. Marci currently leads a self-managing, high performing team of project managers and a continuous improvement manager that contributes to the oversight of the credit union’s project management office and resource management, procedures and templates, project collaboration and portfolio management and training and support.
When not working, Marci enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, son and three dogs, most specifically outdoors, hiking and running.
Kate Sieck - VP of Programs
Kate Sieck has been working in project management for 15 + years and is currently a Project Manager at Northwest Farm Credit Services in a variety of projects with a focus on treasury and regulatory projects.
Kate recently graduated from WGU Washington with a BA in Business Administration and is pursuing her PMP, she is Comp TIA project certified and is certified through the United States Green Building Council and holds her LEED AP – EB certification since 2009. Her career has taken her into a variety of industries including construction, green buildings, event management, and banking.
In her spare time, you will see her sewing or cross-stitching, spend time in the kitchen, is working toward her first half-marathon, and loves her time with family and her furry friends.
Andrea Sutherlin – President-Elect
During the last two years, Andrea has served as the VP of Operations for the PMI Inland Northwest Board of Directors. During this time, she has strived to improve event venues and catering based on membership feedback. She continually seeks ways to improve the membership experience, as well as coordinate board meetings, and set the board agendas.
As President-Elect, Andrea intends to continue carrying that torch to seek improvement, and bring as much value as possible to our members. She plans to focus on adding more PDU options for members such as technical lunch and learns, networking events, and local industry tours. Additionally, she hopes to continue her efforts to spread out options for members throughout the region geographically.
Andrea has been working in project management for over 15 years and is currently a Senior Project Manager at Pearson Packaging Systems. With both a Mechanical Engineering degree from Washington State University, and a Communications degree from Seattle University, her career has taken her into a variety of industries including energy, petrochemical, and manufacturing.
Andrea started her career in project management as a Project Engineer for BP where she managed multiple refinery projects, served as a Change Leader in the Diversity and Inclusion Team, and served as a refinery technical specialist.
In 2007, Andrea moved to Spokane to marry her husband and become a stepmom to four fantastic kids. She accepted a position at Alliance Machine Systems, managing a variety of manufacturing projects, and served as the liaison between the Alliance manufacturing plant in Spokane, and the Alliance Europe division in Holland.
After working at Alliance for five years, Andrea accepted an offer to become a Project Manager for Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL). There she managed a variety of national and international projects for their Engineering Services division. She chaired the PM process improvement committee, and was a super user and trainer for their new ERP implementation. While at SEL, she passed the PMP and became a member of PMI.
Andrea was offered a position at Pearson Packaging in 2015, where she still works today. At Pearson, Andrea manages projects all over the world in manufacturing and robotics. She also started a formal mentorship program, currently serves as a mentor, and helped develop an internal project management process for the product management group.
When not working, Andrea and her husband Scott enjoy being involved with their church, attending Science Fiction conventions, working on their house, and spending time with their family.
Toni Woodbridge – VP of Education
Toni Woodbridge is a Project Manager at STCU, a 2.7 billion dollar credit union based in Liberty Lake, WA. Toni has been working in projects at the Credit Union since 2004.
Toni graduated from Eastern Washington University in 2004. She also received her Project Management Professional certification in July of 2013 and her Certified Scrum Master certification in 2015. She has been a member of the Inland Northwest Chapter of PMI since the fall of 2012.
Toni is interested in the position of VP of Education because she believes that with an education you can do anything. She is excited to take on this new adventure and hopes to continue to maintain the great level of educational opportunities the board provides.
In her free time, she likes to spend time with her Husband, Son, Daughter, and their two dogs, binge-watching old TV series, playing games, napping and providing a healthy home for her family.
Kari Bloomster - VP of Membership
Kari Blomster currently works as a Project Coordinator internally at Nuvodia for their Radiology Informatics business line. She graduated from Eastern Washington University with a BA in Business Management and a focus in Operations Management. Kari recently acquired her CAPM Certification and hopes to go after her PMP in the next two years (2021). Kari is eager to help the PMIINW chapter grow in membership and increase participation at the chapter meetings. Before being elected she volunteered with her predecessor for a few months learning some of the role’s responsibility.
Outside of her professional career she enjoys running and hiking. Kari visits her family on the west coast 4-5 times a year and spends a lot of time with her friends here in Spokane. Kari jokes she works so hard so her furry family member, Mya the cat, can have nice things.
Ashton Underdahl – VP of Finance
Ashton Underdahl, PMP obtained her CAPM in 2013 and her PMP in 2015 and is currently the Chief Operations Officer of MIST Inc. in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She and her husband are also local business owners and have a three-year-old daughter and a five-year-old boy.
Ashton is passionate about coaching and mentoring; which is where her operational expertise meets project management.
With an extensive background in Healthcare Software Implementation, Healthcare, Technology Innovation, and Leadership, Ashton has been with MIST Inc. over ten years. In the post of COO, she oversees the billable departments (Consulting, Senior Consulting, and the Project Management Office) as well as the operational departments (Accounting and Sales) and manages 18 employees and 30 sub-contracted employees across five lines of business. This role encompasses budgeting, vendor negotiation, and people management daily in addition to closely monitoring billable percentages and resource allocation.
Deborah Dickerson - VP of Marketing
Deborah Dickerson, PMP, MBA is the Guided Pathways Project Manager for Spokane Falls Community College. This is an organizational-wide change effort to support student success and improve completion rates at the college. This project requires she use all of her project management and leadership skills. She has been involved in project management for almost 20 years across many industries and has been a certified PMP since 2004. Deborah has an MBA in sustainable business as well as leadership training from Landmark Worldwide and lives in Sandpoint, Idaho.
She has created and executed digital marketing strategies utilizing Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter and has developed and maintained websites on a variety of platforms including WordPress, Weebly, and Squarespace. Deborah has managed a variety of IT projects for large departments and smaller organizations. Deborah was also a part-owner in a digital marketing firm, Ubeity.
When not working, she can be found biking, hiking, skiing in the mountains or paddling around Sandpoint. She also enjoys serving at her church.
Shawna Ernst - VP of Operations
Shawna Ernst, PMP, has been working in project management for six years and is currently the Law Enforcement Technology and Operations Manager for the Spokane Police Department. She holds an MBA, Finance Concentration, from Washington State University. She also holds a Master's in Urban and Regional Planning, Environmental Concentration, and a Bachelor's in Geology from Eastern Washington University. Shawna holds a GISP certification (Geographic Information Systems Professional) and has passed the exam for the CGEIT (Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT). Shawna's work experience centers on IT Governance, strategic planning, and operations management for local government and public safety.
Outside of work, Shawna plays guitar, frequently attends concerts, and is an amateur photographer. She enjoys spending time with her son, their two beagles, and their cat.
